Since a lot of honest people is asking me the firmware file i decided to enable the download again. Please, try to be fair!

18/12/2005

I want to announce that i started to develop an USB interface to allow PC connection (to flight simulators...) also for PCM transmitters. Check this pages within a few days to have more information about this project.

15/12/2005

Since someone used my FMSUSB firmware files to build and sell a lot of interfaces without my authorization i decided to stop the download of the firmware. I'm really afraid about that.

11/11/2005

Added at the bottom of the page some google insertions regarding modelism and electronic.

Moore feedback emails from users that are using the FMSUSB are available at this page.
Updated also the tested transmitter compatibility list at the bottom of the same page.

13/08/2005

Added a table with the configuration bit to correctly program PIC16C745 to build the FMSUSB interface.

New firmware V 1.3.3 released for FMSUSB.

13/07/2005

As promised i uploaded new schematic and PCB for FMSUSB.

12/07/2005

I'm working to the new Schematic and PCB for FMSUSB. I hope that tomorrow i will upload them.

11/07/2005

New firmware release for FMSUSB. Now the device should always be recognized by the PC and you will not see any more the "unknown device" message. Please go to the FMSUSB page to download it. In a few days i will also add buttons to the two joysticks, so if you need buttons please wait for new firmware release.

29/06/2005

Thanks to the help of one of you i discovered a big bug in my schematic and PCB. This could lead to a non working condition and your PC will give an error message like: Unknown device”. To correct this bug please go to the FMSUSB page. I have build three circuits, two of those was working also if this bug was present, but one worked only after the bugfix so i think this will strongly depend on hardware configuration and components value change due to the tolerance. Please modify your circuit if it doesn't work and report let me know if after that it is working. Please remember that the RC must be switched on before connecting the interface to the PC and that your PC must be already switched on. I'm still working also on this bugfix.

16/01/2005

FMSUSB successfully tested with Realflight G2! All four axes are correctly read from the game. Now i'm working on the firmware to add buttons to allow moore interaction with flightsimulator simulator.

I'm sorry but i forgot a debugging step inside FMSUSB firmware version 1.3.0 that always forces the axes "RY" of joystick number 1 to be equal to the number of channels of your RC. This bug is now corrected in version 1.3.1!

07/01/2005

Version 1.3.0 of the FMSUSB firmware is now released.

06/01/2005

For those of you that are experiencing problems with FMSUSB: i'm rewriting a part of the firmware and the new release will be available today or tomorrow. Please be patient! ;-)

26/12/2004

There was a mistake in the FMSUSB schematic: C4 had a value of 222pF... i was so tired... ;-) it's value is of 2200 pF! Now the revision 1.0.1 of the schematic with this little correction is out.

25/12/2004

I Wish You A Merry Christmas!!!

23/12/2004

21/12/2004

Schematic, PCB and a pre-release firmware for FMSUSB is released!

06/12/2004

What do you think about 12 channels support with a tool to change RC channels order?
Take a look to my progresses: PPM RC to USB interface.

09/11/2004

Big news! Finally it works! Now i can use all four axes of my RC with PPM RC to USB interface.
And theorically up to six are supported!!! No extra driver requested for your Windows 2000 and XP system.

03/11/2004

Free RC to FMS (Flying Model Simulator) USB interface. This is an interface to convert your RC to a standard joystick. Up to 12 channels supported.
